Caribeans Coffee & Chocolate is a small family run business in Puerto Viejo, Limon, Costa Rica.  Our mission is to make high quality products from locally sourced, organic, and fair trade raw products.  We are the areas original bean-to-bar chocolate maker and we are the only locally sourced fresh roasted coffee. 

Some coffee & chocolate companies have one or two products that support local farmers in economically stressed areas of the world.  At CariBeans we only produce products that help our local farmers make a living wage.  Only small farms that practice sustainable ecological farming are in our list of producers.  CariBeans believes in a "local economy" model of doing business.  This means that our products will include only ingredients produced in Costa Rica.

We are not "certified" fair trade but rather our practices based on friendships we have developed within this small beach community and throughout Costa Rica. Caribeans is working with several indigenous groups and small family farmers to create a network of high quality sustainable producers in Costa Rica. 

Visit one of our official Caribeans locations!  Dreadnut Cafe in Puerto Viejo, Om Yoga Cafe in Cocles, Botanica Organica in Playa Chiquita, and Caribeans Chocolate Tasting Lounge in Playa Cocles.  Look for the flag at OM Yoga Center!   Be sure to ask for a free chocolate sample as we are the only bean-to-bar chocolate producer in the area.  If you can't come to Costa Rica, but still want products, you can now order online!
